摘要: Four coarsening upward parasequences, ranging in thickness from 4 to 17m are present an Upper Mannville (Aptian early Albian) core east central Alberta. These parasequences composed of three main facies; mudstone, mudstone/sandstone, and bioturbated rippled sandstone. Based on sedimentological, ichnological, palynological, geochemical data these interpreted as crevasse splay deposits. A low diversity suite trace fossils (Arenicolites, Chondrites, Gyrolithes, Monocraterion, Palaeophycus, Planolites, Skolithos, Teichichnus) characterize units. The ichnological character deposits is unique represents a powerful tool the delineation interpretation marginal marine environments.
