摘要: A chemical method to synthesize a magnetite coating on aluminosilicate nanotubes (imogolite) that can be used as magnetic adsorptive composite is reported via new procedure based impregnation with excess of solvent. This produced nanocomposite imogolite and magnetite, retaining at least two the individual properties its initial species, which are determinant for some technological applications: large surface area high saturation magnetization. Comparatively significant differences in terms electrophoretic characteristics were found between direct solid mixture starting materials resultant imogolite–magnetite mixture. The adsorption kinetics arsenate described adequately by pseudo-second model maximum adsorbed amounts (qe) this anion closed those obtained experimentally. rate Fe−imogolite was initially observed, suggesting formation sites qualitatively quantitatively improve removal arsenate. combined use different characterization techniques (XRD, TEM, Mossbauer spectroscopy, EM, VSM SQUID) kinetic sorption study suggest has potential treatment polluted water or other nanotechnological applications, due reactivity.
