Finite element analysis of steep excavation slope failure by CFS theory

摘要: The distribution of Coulomb failure stress (CFS) change in the steep excavation slope is calculated by finite element method this paper, and mechanics under different conditions have been investigated. Comparing CFSs before after (stress loading unloading processes), dangerous internal zone most likely external area are attained. Given shear cracks on top surface while tensile or along toe slope, we analyze high cutting-angle Kaixian county Three Gorges Reservoir region. We bring forward that peak value CFS can reach to order 0.1 MPa, which greatly higher than before. Our preliminary results useful for optimizing reinforcement structure during stabilization engineering.
