摘要: Quantitative comparisons were made between the rates of thermal volatilization several fluoropolymers before and after exposure to γ-radiation. The effects γ-irradiation on poly(vinyl fluoride) poly(vinylidene also investigated by swelling sol-gel ratios. With both polymers as well with polytrifluoroethylene, crosslinks occur predominantly, though there is an appreciable number scissions. char formation enhanced γ-radiation, whereas previously studied polytrifluoroethylene did not produce more upon irradiation, although radiation accelerate its volatilization. It believed that in a different mechanism than case vinyl vinylidene fluoride polymers.
