摘要: Acupuncture (AP) is an ancient empirical Eastern therapeutical technique that uses magical though (pre-scientific language) in this domain. Reflex therapy the stimulation of specific points body to achieve a therapeutic or homeostatic effect. According AP, health depends on psico-neuro-endocrine functions under influence genetic code and extrinsic factors like nutrition, daily habits, weather, environment others. The present article brief review AP philosophy, its historical marks East West, veterinary history Brazil abroad. It also summarizes practice, including diagnosis, treatment protocols, needling animals, indications, non-indications adverse effects.
