摘要: A Stark decelerator produces beams of molecules with high quantum state purity, and small spatial, temporal velocity spreads. These tamed molecular are ideally suited for high-resolution crossed beam scattering experiments. When map imaging is used, the allows measurement images unprecedented radial sharpness angular resolution. Differential cross sections must be extracted from these extreme care, however. Common image analysis techniques that used throughout in experiments can result systematic errors, particular determination collision energy, allocation angles to observed peaks distribution. Using a data set on inelastic collisions velocity-controlled NO radicals Ne atoms, we describe challenges met by resolution, present methods mitigate or overcome them.
