摘要: This paper demonstrates the usefulness of valuing a diversity ecosystem services for groundwater protection. It argues that improving understanding local stakeholders regarding benefits strategic preservation future generations can bring to their territories is relevant mean enhance support towards conservation. We develop and test systemic approach based on data collection , cost-based monetary valuation methods stakeholder involvement. The reports empirical work conducted in area located Southern France, could be interest supply growing population coastal urban areas. characterize, quantify valuate terms nine services. then analyze perception proposed approach, associated values by organising workshop involving 25 stakeholders. Overall, participants validate operational feasibility relevance raising awareness bridging gap between environmental issues, which effective triggers implementation protection action. Yet, provides only partial insights into overall value protecting area, would improve from being articulated with socio-cultural methods.
