摘要: Amino acids perform a variety of functions in cells and organisms, particularly the synthesis proteins, as energy metabolites, neurotransmitters, precursors for many other molecules. acid transport plays key role all these functions. Inhibition amino is pursued therapeutic strategy several areas, such diabetes related metabolic disorders, neurological cancer, stem cell biology. The transporters disorders processes well established, but implementation drug targets still its infancy. This at least part due to underdeveloped pharmacology this group membrane proteins. Recent advances structural biology, protein expression, inhibitor screening methodology will see an increased number improved selective inhibitors that can serve tool compounds further studies.
