摘要: Patients with chronic vestibular dysfunction often experience visually-induced aggravation of dizzy symptoms (visual vertigo; VV). The Situational Characteristics Questionnaire (SCQ), Computerized Dynamic Posturography or Rod and Frame Test (RFT) are used to assess VV symptoms. This study evaluates whether correlations exist between these three tests, their ability identify patients emotional state correlates Tests were completed by 20 normal controls (Group NC), plus VV) 13 without NVV). Additionally, the Vertigo Symptom Scale (VSS-V) was applied quantify general, non-visually induced vertigo (dizziness, lightheadedness and/or spinning) imbalance. Autonomic (VSS-A) psychological (Hospital Anxiety Depression questionnaire; HAD) also assessed. With SCQ 100% Group scored outside ranges scores differed significantly both Groups NC NVV. RFT values not different groups; only 15% ranges. abnormal for 50% patients; significant differences noted composite ratios 3/1, 4/1, 5/1 6/1 (indicative sensory re-weighting). There no data sets in patients. depression but patient this indicates that may be present either group. can corroborate an initial clinical diagnosis its severity dysfunction. suggested have a re-weighting abnormality. rod frame test results posturography findings agree less VV. Psychological need addressed.
