Improved removal of Cd(II) from aqueous solution by synthesized nanozeolite

摘要: AbstractThis study investigated the adsorption potential of synthesized nanozeolites for removal cadmium (Cd(II)) ions from aqueous solutions. The obtained results Cd(II) indicate that had higher surface area, pore volume, and capacity than commercial activated carbon (AC). were well fitted with Langmuir isotherm second-order reaction kinetic. Based on model, maximum capacities onto nanozeolite AC 189.6 171.2 mg/g at an optimum pH 5.0, respectively. In regeneration Cd(II)-loaded adsorbents, even after 10 cycles adsorption–desorption, identified desorption efficiencies 78.8 42.3% using AC, characteristics Cd(II), could be utilized as a promising low-cost adsorbent water.
