摘要: The loads acting on the hip joint during daily activities contribute to failure of fixation cemented stems. An in vitro analysis newly designed prostheses is necessary prior vivo clinical trials. In pre-clinical testing procedures up now have consisted simulating only one or two conditions. goal this work was define a procedure assess long-term effect most stressing integrity cement mantle. Thus, cyclic load constant amplitude not acceptable. All inducing high need be included, so as replicate critical scenario from fatigue point view. following were included history: stair climbing and descending, car entry exit, bathtub stumbling. Load values direction assigned each activity, based literature. A typical week defined for patient, statistics simulation running 2 weeks able peaks occurring 24 years patient activity. Stem-cement elastic micromotion permanent migration are continuously recorded at 5 locations. mantle inspected by means dye penetrants after test completion quantify damage history successfully applied different designs therefore ready future applications evaluate performance new effects implant outcomes.
