摘要: Abstract The minimum weight of a honeycomb sandwich cylinder with the facings in composite material is obtained by an optimization method ply angles and thicknesses as design variables. under combined loads axial compression, bending moment transverse shear. structural analyses verify stability strength. are done simply supported boundary conditions for orthotropic case. Three modes have been studied: general buckling, dimpling wrinkling. In all cases, initial imperfections prebuckling distortions not taken into account. This problem treated knock-down factors. For optimization, we used variable metric constrained (subroutine VMCON, M.J.D. Powell). From arbitrary point (feasible or non-feasible), program searches optimal iterative procedure. To that optima local, has initiated from several different starting points. Having compared results, global alternative well local found.
