摘要: We systematically study the terahertz (THz) properties of a set nematic liquid crystals. use THz time domain spectroscopy to obtain data between 0.2 up 2.5 THz. Such broadband has not yet been reported. From measured data, we extract macroscopic such as birefringence, refractive indices and absorption coefficients for ordinary extraordinary polarization. The impact different side chains core structures on anisotropy are discussed. This paper will serve base can be very useful design new crystal material.
