Solution Behavior of Surfactants

摘要: This chapter presents results of a study ''simple'' systems the type H/sub 2/O-oil-nonionic surfactant-electrolyte as model for pseudoquaternary relevant in tertiary oil recovery, order to make qualitative predictions phase behavior such systems. The formation three-phase triangle is shown arise from change diagram with temperature. It demonstrated that, within limited temperature range, diagrams can indicate two critical points, which are responsible ultra-low interfacial tensions between neighboring phases threephase triangle. A formula proposed predict whether system given will show rising or addition an appropriate electrolyte. comparison made and experiments using short chain polyglycolethers surfactants.
