摘要: We examined the effects of family functioning trajectories on sexual risk behaviors and STI in adolescents. A sample 850 predominantly (80%) Black adolescents from Michigan, United States, was assessed at baseline, 12, 24, 36 months postbaseline. Adolescents were working-class families with a mean age 14.9 years (SD = .64, Range 13.9 to 16.9) baseline. Participants completed measures each time point. At postbaseline, levels behaviors, including sex initiation, unprotected sex, alcohol or drug use before last intercourse, STIs assessed. Latent class growth analysis (LCGA) yielded 4-class solutions for conflict parent support. high increasing trajectories, low decreasing support relatively greater STIs. Yet, additional differ across outcomes highlighting complexities role over time. Multiple Group LCGA indicate some findings vary as function gender. (PsycINFO Database Record
