摘要: Abstract Two sediment sequences recovered close to, and south of, the present Polar Front (50°, 53°S) in Atlantic sector of Southern Ocean were analysed order to evaluate environmental evolution surface over last deglaciation Holocene. Our reconstruction is based on radiocarbon-dated records diatom-based sea temperature sea-ice proxies planktic foraminiferal stable isotopes. The onset deglacial warming gradual southward retreat winter field between 18 17 cal kyr BP, occurrence a thermal reversal centered at ca. 13 BP (Antarctic Cold Reversal, or ACR), early Holocene “climatic optimum” well correlate with climatic reconstructions available from Indian Antarctic ice cores.
