摘要: This chapter presents information on various contraceptive methods available for men and women. Modern have been in use since the introduction of male condom 1600s cervical cap 1820s. techniques include sex steroid that affect ovulation oral contraceptives (OCs), injectable hormones, subdermal implants, intrauterine intravaginal devices, surgical sterilization. Oral pills are most commonly used method reversible contraception United States. Non-hormonal coitus interruptus, lactational amenorrhea, Natural Family Planning (NFP), while several barrier such as diaphragms, sponge-type contraceptives, female condom, caps, spermicides also available. Male has primarily characterized by natural family planning regimens along with vasectomy. The development effective hormonal or antispermatogenetic limited reduced efficacy profound adverse event profiles.
