INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECT OF AGGREGATE PRETREATMENT WITH ANTISTRIPPING AGENTS ON THE ASPHALT-AGGREGATE BOND

摘要: ABSTRACT Addition of Chemical antistripping agents (ASA)to asphalt has inherent disadvantages such as reduction the effectiveness ASA in hot and formation relatively weak bond with aggregate surface. To circumvent problems, a novel approach pretreatment was investigated this study. The pretreated aqueous emulsions/solutions different organic surface modifiers. procedure evaluated to ascertain asphalt-aggregate strength using boiling water test.
