摘要: OBJECTIVES Preparing future dental school graduates to provide comprehensive patient care with empathy requires the completion of adequate training in such practice. This study was undertaken investigate effectiveness Photodentistry learning activity, which uses visual arts, improving students' and experience care. METHODS All fourth-year undergraduate students (n = 69, response rate 100%) participated activity developed by specialists from areas dentistry, education, psychology. A survey using Toronto Empathy Questionnaire (TEQ) conducted both pretest posttest, followed an open-ended written their reflection towards activity. Quantitative data were analyzed via paired t-test (P < 0.05), while qualitative thematic analysis. RESULTS There a significant increase total mean score individual scores for 8 (out 16) items TEQ after Students stated that they had improved understanding managing patients manner (e.g., medically compromised patients, performing treatment planning, communication who have special health needs). also reported development skills observation, critical thinking) positive attitudes empathy, responsibility) patients. CONCLUSION is effective approach
