摘要: Introduction: Diabetes mellitus mediated by oxidative stress creates serious metabolic disorders in testicles. This study aimed to demonstrate the antioxidant effect of berberine hydrochlorid on testicular damage streptozotocin induced diabetes male rats. Methods: Thirty two, two-month-old wistar rats (220- 240 g body weight) were divided into 6 groups: control group, - treated nondiabetic group (100 mg/kg), -treated (50 diabetic mg/kg) and mg/kg).Diabetes was STZ intraperitoneally injection mg/kg). Berberine gavaged at dose 50, 100 mg/kg for weeks. Testicular examined using hematoxylin eosinstaining. Blood biochemical factors also measured. Results: free radical production, significantly reduced spermatogenic Sertoli cells, decreased spermatogenesis sperm motility treatment with hydrochlorid, improved this effects. increases count motility, cells sertoli cells. Furthermore thraputic groups we observed increas seminiferous tubule diameter decreas basal laminal thickness. Conclusions: These results suggest that has beneficial effects adult rats, probably induce decreasing blood glucose concentration preventing stress.
