摘要: Predictions for our ability to distinguish quark and gluon jets vary by more than a factor of two between different parton showers. We study this problem using analytic resummed predictions the thrust event shape up NNLL $$'$$ $$e^+e^- \rightarrow Z q \bar{q}$$ H gg$$ as proxies jets. account hadronization effects through nonperturbative function, include an estimate both perturbative uncertainties. In contrast previous studies, we find reasonable agreement results from Pythia Herwig that is due noticeable improvement in description newest 7.1 compared versions.
