摘要: Stiffness in primary (idiopathic) frozen shoulders has been attributed to a global fibroplasia of the capsule despite fact surgical release at rotator interval and coracohumeral ligament restores motion almost all patients. Occurrence vimentin, cytocontractile protein known be present Dupuytren's contracture club-feet, reported resection specimens anterior capsular structures. We hypothesized vimentin would occur only structures but throughout capsule. Tissues removed from four patients were stained with antibodies against allowing us confirm its presence structures, supporting our first hypothesis is due selective involvement Staining sections types I III collagen permitted detection both collagens posterior thus confirmed second that involves entire joint Therefore it seems, shoulder, are two distinct processes.
