摘要: We present an analytical proof and numerical demonstrations of the equivalence correlation energy from particle-particle random phase approximation (pp-RPA) ladder-couple-cluster-doubles (ladder-CCD). These two theories reduce to identical algebraic matrix equation expressions, under assumption that pp-RPA is stable. The examples illustrate missed by in comparison with couple-cluster single double largely canceled out when considering reaction energies. This theoretical connection will be beneficial future studies based on well established couple cluster theory.
