Hydrothermal synthesis of hexagonal ZnO nanoplates used for photodegradation of methylene blue

摘要: Abstract ZnO nanoplates were successfully synthesized by hydrothermal method in the solutions containing CTAB. The as-prepared samples characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Raman spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). In this research, as-synthesized hexagonal wurtzite structure without any impurities composed of with vibration mode Zn–O bonds. photocatalytic activity showed superior photodegradation methylene blue (MB) 94.15 % under UV light irradiation within 80 min. degradation efficiency reused as photocatalyst indicated that are very stable reusable illumination.
