摘要: Low access to electricity consumption distorts development prospects. In some parts of the world, individuals have live with little or no which has prompted decision makers take considerable actions at increasing globally. These are important considering fact that modern energy accelerates economic growth, reduces inequality, poverty, as well environmental pollution and solid fuel consumption. spite these actions, prevalence limited in Sub-Saharan Africa demands empirical research ascertain factors undermine not much been done empirically this area. Consequently, determinants was focus study. The methodological framework applied adopted percentage population dependent variable. independent variables were constrained by data availability. findings revealed several led low level African countries. Income per capita, transmission distribution losses, proportion rural population, density, dependency ratio savings found affect consistently Africa. results further credibility government – effectiveness also hindered Access is a normal necessary good. lessons for policy interventions will aid reducing poor
