摘要: Abstract The present study describes the potential intrusive effects of CREC-GS-Optiprobes on flow pattern in gas–solid downflow units. Granular flows and their interactions with are calculated using a CPFD (Computational Particle Fluid Dynamic) numerical scheme three dimensions, particle clusters. Once particles dispersed column, simulations revealed that these formed relatively homogeneous suspension cluster formation solids accelerating until reaching fully-developed regime. showed two axially aligned CREC-GS-Optiprobes, when placed fully developed regime, introduce minimum perturbations suspension. Therefore this CREC-GS-Optiprobe creates highly illuminated focal region where hydrodynamic parameters can be measured without significant disturbance. Thus, supports application fiber optic probes; such as case which provide undisturbed axial velocity, slip velocities, size solid fraction measurements at strategically selected locations downer unit.
