摘要: An experimental study has been performed to determine whether stresses associated with thermal cycling cracks can affect the coercivity of remanence carried by iron in lunar samples. Initially, samples were cycled up 100 times a refrigerator over period about 30 min per cycle. In second set experiments, dipped directly into liquid nitrogen at 1 Comparison AF demagnetization curves weak field anhysteretic remanent magnetization before and after revealed no systematic differences. Calculations based on model spherical grains within olivine or troilite indicate that it is unlikely will crack under stress. Thus, does not appear provide an explanation for increasing stability from surface.
