摘要: Abstract: As European forest policy increasingly focuses on multiple ecosystem services and participatory decisionmaking, managers planners have a need for integrated, user-friendly, broad spectrum decision support systems (DSS) that address risks uncertainties, such as climate changein robust way , provide credible advice in transparent manner, enabling effective stakeholder involvement. The Sim4Tree DSS has been accordingly developed user-oriented, modular multipurpose toolbox. supports strategic tactical forestry planning by providing simulations of development, potential economic performance through time, from regional to stand scale, under various management regimes. allows comparing the different scenarios with regard diverse so criteriaoptimize choices. This paper explains concept, characteristics, functionalities, components use current v2.5, which was parameterized region Flanders, Belgium, but can be flexibly adapted allow broader use. When considering challenges DSS, an effort made towards
