摘要: OBJECTIVES To test the effects of three behavioural interventions (daily monetary incentives + self-monitoring, delayed lump sum and self-monitoring only) on psychological constructs fruit vegetable consumption or physical activity behaviour change among a sample adults with overweight obesity. DESIGN A pair 3-arm longitudinal randomized controlled trials compared daily only for either activity. METHODS Individuals reporting elevated weight status insufficient engagement in one target behaviours were randomly assigned to 3-week interventions. All involved behaviour, two provided incentives contingent upon reported behaviour. Participants completed measures at baseline, end intervention, four weeks post-intervention. RESULTS across all intervention conditions demonstrated increased from pre- post-intervention remained above baseline levels both follow-up time points. Increases during associated increases self-efficacy, this enhanced self-efficacy prospectively predicted sustained follow-up. However, contrary hypotheses, incentive including not more efficacious than alone, was enhancements attitudes. CONCLUSIONS Self-monitoring can aid efforts, practice these increase self-efficacy. obesity who are seeking interventions, incentive-based approaches may be superior alone driving maintenance.
