摘要: Mechanical strain regulates the development, organization, and function of multicellular tissues, but mechanisms linking mechanical cell-cell junction proteins to cellular responses are poorly understood. Here, we showed that applied quiescent epithelial cells induced rapid cell cycle reentry, mediated by independent nuclear accumulation transcriptional activity first Yap1 then β-catenin. Inhibition Yap1- β-catenin-mediated transcription blocked reentry progression through G1 into S phase, respectively. Maintenance quiescence, exclusion, β-catenin required E-cadherin extracellular engagement. Thus, activation may represent a master regulator strain-induced proliferation, cadherins provide signaling centers for externally force.
