摘要: Abstract Finding optimum well locations is still among the most challenging reservoir engineering problems. Reservoir simulators are routinely used to evaluate different configuration of in reservoirs. However, simulation giant field models computationally demanding and time consuming. In current study, a novel proxy with objective function that based on volumetric pressure approximation provided by Fast Marching Method (FMM) introduced. This calculates wells bottom-hole at end unsteady state period. The where calculated maximum will likely leads Net Present Value (NPV). Foremost, FMM-based approach applied single production placement problem correlation between results this conventional simulator-based method calculated. Thereafter, coupled Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm multiple two standard model. Results new compared terms performance efficiency. reveal can provide satisfactory while significantly reducing computational cost.
