摘要: Homeostasis of tissues relies on the regulated differentiation stem cells. In epithelium mouse seminiferous tubules, process from undifferentiated spermatogonia (A(undiff)), which harbor cell functions, to sperm occurs in a periodical manner, known as "seminiferous epithelial cycle". To identify mechanism underlying this periodic differentiation, we investigated roles Sertoli cells (the somatic supporting cells) and retinoic acid (RA) cycle. cyclically change their functions coordinated manner with germ support entire spermatogenesis. RA is play essential but its precise mode action regulation remains largely obscure. We showed that an experimental increase signaling was capable both inducing A(undiff) resetting cycle appropriate stage. However, these actions exogenous were strongly interfered by differentiating intimate location. Based expression metabolism-related genes among multiple types - including signaling, propose here primary role modulating local metabolism, results timed cycling Similar progeny through modulation environment could also be involved other systems.
