摘要: We present an end-to-end system for the automatic measurement of flow-mediated dilation (FMD) and intima-media thickness (IMT) assessment arterial function. The video sequences are acquired from a B-mode echographic scanner. A spline model (deformable template) is fitted to data detect artery boundaries track them all along sequence. priori knowledge about image features its content exploited. Preprocessing performed improve both visual quality frames inspection performance segmentation algorithm without affecting accuracy measurements. allows real-time processing as well high level interactivity with user. This obtained by graphical user interface (GUI) enabling cardiologist supervise whole process eventually reset contour extraction at any point in time. was validated accuracy, reproducibility, repeatability measurements were assessed extensive vivo experiments. Jointly friendliness, low cost, robustness, this makes suitable research daily clinical use.
