摘要: By investigating the conflicted relationship between Nikola Tesla (1856–1943) and electrical engineering community, this essay explores competing representations of “invention” in fin-de-siecle period. Drawing on observation that dominant paradigm invention was entangled various inscription practices, I turn to case examine how inventions circulated only as discourses were represented legitimated scientific popular press, literature.
