摘要: Objective: This study aimed to investigate theory of mind (ToM) in individuals with bulimia nervosa (BN), an area neglected by empirical research despite social functioning difficulties this disorder and evidence ToM deficits people anorexia (AN). Method: ToM was assessed 48 BN 34 Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified BN-type (EDNOS-BN) outpatients 57 healthy controls (HCs) using the Reading Mind Eyes Films (RMF), ecologically valid task novel research. Results: Overall performance EDNOS-BN groups equivalent HCs on both tasks. Individuals had enhanced negative emotion recognition RMF. Discussion: Individuals AN have distinct socio-cognitive profiles. Further into cognition is required establish link between interpersonal psychopathology BN. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
