The critical move focuses on issues as it is enacted, reproduced, resisted through fields associated with studies, such policy planning, codification, teaching, learning, testing. purpose this work not only understand explain how constructed exercised language, but also change practices empower those who are at risk from oppressive practices. Work that attempts achieve these goals has a “critical” perspective, even if always labeled (Pennycook, 2010).
