摘要: Space weather is a popular and important research topic today. Its origin isin the Sun. effects extend to surface of Earth where theyare usually called GIC referring geomagnetically induced currents intechnological systems such as electric power transmission grids, oil gaspipelines, telecommunication cables railway equipment. are possiblesource problems within systems, observations have been made sincethe first telegraph in 1800's. This paper summary reviewof present knowledge possibilities modelling system.Modelling efforts require determination field occurring inconnection with magnetic storm at Earth's calculation ofthe resulting GIC. Different techniques magneticfields evaluated this paper, special attention paid thecomplex image method (CIM) which suitable for time-critical purposes likeforecasting A discretely-earthed system buried pipelineneed different methods The former can be treated by amatrix formalism while distributed-source line (DSTL) theoryis applicable latter.
