摘要: We studied the effects of exercise on GLUT4 gene transcription in several lines transgenic mice expressing chloramphenicol acyltransferase (CAT) reporter gene, driven by various lengths human promoter (2400, 1600, 895, and 730 bp). In all examined, endogenous mRNA increased response to (19-90%, P < 0.05). Exercise CAT (51-83%, 0.05) when transgene was at least 895 bp but showed no effect which only bp. These results suggest that exercise-induced increase transcriptional activity is mediated, part, element(s) within -895 promoter. observations reveal a striking similarity time course regional requirements AMPK-induced expression, providing further evidence AMPK may be mediating expression.
