摘要: The aim of the study was to assess possible existence major genes influencing hip and elbow dysplasia in four dog populations. A Bayesian segregation analysis performed separately on each population. In total, 34 140 dogs were included data set. Data analysed with both a polygenic mixed inheritance model. Polygenic models fixed random environmental effects additive genetic effects. To apply models, effect gene added models. modelled as an autosomal biallelic locus Mendelian transmission probabilities. Gibbs sampling Monte Carlo Markov Chain algorithm used. goodness-of-fit different compared using residual sum-of-squares. considered likely for all breeds one breed. Several procedures followed exclude false detection based non-normality data: permuted datasets analysed, data-transformations applied, residuals judged normality. Allelic at showed nearly complete dominance, recessive, unfavourable allele traits. Relatively high estimates frequencies alleles breed suggest that considerable progress would be by selection against genes. However, are possibly affecting these populations will require further study.
