摘要: Land and land use attributes have been quantitatively recorded from existing map statistic sources for the 2858 10 x km grid squares (cells) of Ordnance Survey National Grid which contain in Great Britain. 126 are grouped in categories of physiography; climate; geology; soils ;topography; use; agricultural classification ; conservation status. They provide the initial major component a computer-stored data set appropriate to national regional scales ecological assessment resource evaluation. Standard statistics outputs supply complete or partial for individual cells, total average values required attributes for any group cells. Map display, list, summarise data for cells meet specifications individual combined attributes, Great Britain as whole, regions. Recording data, their computer input editing, and the availability analysis retrieval programmes, completed the first phase this bank. Intended developments that are outlined include classifications based on correlations of characteristics classes with biological distributions already available at scale, extension upgrading the initial set.
