摘要: Abstract The release of propranolol hydrochloride from matrices containing hydroxypropylmethylcellulose and carbopol has been examined at different ratios the polymers. Similar dissolution rates were found data corresponding to 5–35% total drug same weight polymer, but a burst occurred formulations 1: > 3 HPMC/carbopol once 35% had dissolved. In order explain these results, studies on cloud points, water distribution, hydration viscosity carried out. Mixtures both polymers resulted in decrease values points. Increased quantities free gels apparent, producing reduction viscosity. Hydration studies, determined by DSC, indicated that two types present scans melting process. Additionally, amount imbibed for this polymer was lower than HPMC or 1:1 mixture release, during dissolution, may be explained formation complex between carbopol.
