摘要: The freshwater fisheries of Africa are important sources income and protein for the people continent, stocks biodiversity world. This report discusses experience eight lakes (Baringo, Chad, Kariba, Malawi, Naivasha, Nakuru, Tanganyika Victoria), in order to provide an overview challenges facing African systems, interventions undertaken manage challenges, inputs that have been required, lessons learned guide further actions. In particular, Global Environment Facility promoting sustainable lake basin management at five these Victoria) is discussed. overall date indicates a lack effective actions, as result limited accessibility application scientific information, poor dissemination inappropriate un-harmonized fishery laws regulations, inadequate enforcement existing weak institutions institutional processes, funds implementing programmes.
