摘要: The biochemical and the pharmacological effects of beta-carbolines in animals man are reviewed. Biochemical studies have revealed beta-carbolines' several actions, including inhibition MAO-A, competitive 5-HT uptake, general Na+ dependent transports, binding to benzodiazepine opiate receptors probable action on dopamine receptors, which may all participate a variable degree actions different beta-carbolines. Many early vivo studies, however, concentrated some harmala alkaloids, particularly harmaline or harmine. compared this review with symptoms alcohol withdrawal. However, no human been reported those tetrahydro-beta-carbolines shown occur body normal conditions after intake. They act as neuromodulators some, especially 6-methoxytetrahydro-beta-carboline, an endocrinological function. It suggested ligands (agonists) but so far known seem effects, such MAO-A uptake low concentrations.
