A method for the calculation of induced band power: implications for the significance of brain oscillations

摘要: A method for the calculation of significant changes in induced band power (IBP) is presented. In contrast to traditional measures event-related (ERBP) which are composed evoked and not EEG components, proposed measure IBP deprived from phase locked (or evoked) activity. It assumed that reflect modulation brain oscillations largely independent ERPs. The results a visual oddball task show can be observed response presentation warning signal (preceding target or nontarget) imperative stimulus (i.e. α, θ δ band. Only few were obtained although highly ERBP found. Our findings document may considered phenomenon occurrence They underline significance oscillatory processes suggest rhythms modulated by stimuli and/or events way.
