摘要: Abstract Among 106 patients operated on for implantation of artificial mitral chordae (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene), usually associated with other traditional procedures, 82 had degenerative valve disease. Two them the replaced during same operation because residual regurgitation, and one patient died (1.3%) respiratory insufficiency. Seventy-nine left hospital were followed up to 84 months. No late deaths only valve-related complication reported. This occurred in a who required reoperation after 18 months sudden recurrence regurgitation caused by rupture natural chordae, which been shortened first procedure, whereas retained their function. The clinical experience confirms positive experimental data, this technique was reliable lasting results. Application techniques, is useful improve results extend indications repair.
