Influence of Electron Extracting Interface Layers in Organic Bulk-Heterojunction Solar Cells

摘要: The influence of different electron extracting interlayers such as calcium (Ca), zirconium acetylacetonate (ZrAcac), and a polyfluorene derivative (PFN) in combination with an aluminum (Al) cathode is investigated on the performance bulk-heterojuntion solar cells. Two photoactive systems, P3HT:PC61BM PDPP:PC71BM, are selected for this study. electroabsorption measurements have been carried out obtaining built-in voltage (Vbi) transfer matrix simulations determination parasitic absorption. cell influenced by parameters diode turn-on voltage, leakage currents, voltages, small high absorption Ca contact devices limit open circuit short current, respectively. Likewise, currents using ZrAcac fill factor devices. However, PFN-based absorption, smaller relatively Vbi show maximum both material systems. This work highlights importance choosing suitable device optimization clearly demonstrates that not only low function interlayer but also its optical properties charge selectivity significantly final performance.
