摘要: Abstract The photocatalytic oxidation of carbon black on TiO2 using nitric oxide as an oxidizing agent was investigated. Layer-wise deposited and powder illuminated with UVA light in the presence NO at parts per million concentrations dry hydrated carrier gas a temperature 150 °C. Carbon photocatalytically converted mainly into CO2, N2. rates 7.2 μg/h/mgTiO2 were achieved 3000 ppm NO. Under these experimental conditions absence molecular oxygen, formation surface nitrates causing photocatalyst deactivation is suppressed. Addition water enhances nitrate catalyst deactivation. particulate matter are air pollutants emitted by diesel engines. Elimination soot collected filter through demanding reaction requiring temperatures excess 250 °C. present study opens perspectives for low-temperature regeneration strategy that simultaneously performs DeNOx reactions.
