摘要: Study purpose: To examine whether adjuvant therapy for gastric cancer increases the risk second primaries, and smoking drinking increase risk.Subjects methods: 1, 631 patients who were newly diagnosed with underwent curative operation at Osaka Medical Center Cancer Cardiovascular Diseases during 1978-92. Incidence of primaries examined through linkage to Registry as end December 1995. Observed number (0) was compared expected according incidence in general population (E). Proportional hazards model used estimate hazard rate ratio (HR) primaries. Results: 149 observed. Seventeen cases, detected within 2 months after diagnosis cancer, excluded. O/E 1.13 chemotherapy, 0.93 immuno-chemotherapy, 0.78 immunotherapy, while 1.14 only (not significant). Age-, sex-, stage-adjusted HR 1.02 (95% C.I. 0.69-1.50) 0.80 (0.41-1.57) 0.60 (0.08-4.34) only. Among males, current smokers vs. never 1.82 (1.02-3.26).Conclusions: Adjuvant did not significantly elevated it. J Epidemiol, 2000 ; 10 : 300-304
