摘要: The supercomputer center at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) migrates large numbers of files to and from its mass storage system (MSS) because there is insufficient space store them on Cray supercomputer''s local disks. This paper presents an analysis file migration data collected over two years. shows that requests MSS are periodic, with one day week periods. Read account majority periodicity; as write relatively constant course a week. Additionally, reads show far greater fluctuation than writes since driven by human users while machine-driven.
