PRIORITIZATION OF HYDROLOGIC UNITS WITH RESPECT TO FLOOD POTENTIAL IN GOLESTAN DAM RIVER BASIN

摘要: Identification and prioritization of subbasin areas in relation to flood potential is a key task management large basins. Golestan Dam basin has recently experienced severe floods so that the considered crucial for control planning. In this research, HEC-HMS hydrologic model geographic information system (GIS) were jointly used investigate contribution subbasins peak at outlet. Unit response method was applied prioritize with respect index. The results showed index not solely dependent on area but location, river routing characteristics, rainfall spatial distribution have major effects. It evident southern Galikesh ranks first due receiving high intensity rainfall, whereas Robat-Gharahbill located near most upstream part last.
